SCLS Law Olympiad (Season 4.0) to be held on 18th-19th August

Society for Critical Legal Studies (SCLS) is going to organize the 4th edition of the Law Olympiad to be held on 18th-19th August 2023 in Chattogram. Inspired by the watchword “Uphold the Constitution, Empower the Nation”, the theme of SCLS Law Olympiad Season 4.0 is Constitutional Law.

Participants of the competition will be provided with 8 compelling Agenda to bring out their legal excellence. In addition, there would be contentions about significant laws of the Country. Participants will be engaging themselves rigorously in 5 critical rounds namely: Poster Presentation Round (Preliminary), Critical Eye Round (Preliminary) Rebellious Spirit Round (Individual), Argumentative Skill Round (Semi-final) and Symposium Round (Final).

Society for Critical Legal Studies (SCLS) is a student-run organization of the Department of Law, University of Chittagong. Since its inception in 2017, it has been arranging various national competitions, such as Law Olympiad, Moot Court Competition, Model Law Commission, Students Tribunal etc. SCLS Law Olympiad is one of its signature national events which provides an outstanding platform for the law students of Bangladesh. In this competition, law students from various law schools in Bangladesh get the unique opportunity to engage themselves in critical legal arguments and to get themselves well acquainted with the multidimensional aspects of the legal system.

For the Olympiad, SCLS will be accommodating 32 two-member teams from around the corners of Bangladesh from different law schools. Law student of any semester/year is eligible to participate in this grand event.
