Felicitation to Newly Enrolled Advocates held at DIU
RAISUL SOURAV: A felicitation program for the newly enrolled advocates graduated from Dhaka International University (DIU) organized by the Department of Law, DIU on 9 September at moot court of DIU’s permanent campus. Law graduates of DIU have demonstrated a tremendous feat in the Bar Council Examination. The University campus was in a festive mood to celebrate the great success of the students. A number of current students & alumni were present to honor the new advocates. About 50 law graduates participated in this occasion.
The program was started by the welcome speech of RaisuL Islam Sourav, Assistant Professor and Chairperson, Department of Law, DIU. He congratulated all the new advocates on their great achievement. Barrister Shameem Haider Patwary, MP; Member, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs; Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), DIU & Advocate Supreme Court of Bangladesh attend the event as chief guest while Prof. Dr. AWM Abdul Huq, Dean, Faculty of Law, DIU chaired the session.
In his speech, Barrister Shameem Haider Patwary encouraged the newly enrolled advocates graduated from DIU to contribute in establishing social justice and rule of law and become an honest and hard-working lawyer. He urges all the learned advocates to uphold human dignity and professional ethics in all spheres of their professional life.
Dr. S Q Patwari, Vice-chairman, BoT, DIU; Prof. Dr. Ganesh Chandra Saha, Pro-VC, DIU and Prof. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Registrar delivered his speech as special guest while newly enrolled advocates also shared their achievements and emotions about DIU. After distribution of crests among the successful advocates, the program came to an end with a group photo session.
